• Alert:

Covington Independent Public Schools will return to in-person learning on September 28, operating on the “A/B” Hybrid Model.

This means students who are assigned to the “A” group will attend school in person on Mondays and Tuesdays. Students assigned to the “B” group will attend school in person on Thursdays and Fridays. Students will continue to log in and complete assignments online on days in which they are not scheduled to attend in person. Earlier this month during orientation visits, schools informed students of which group they were assigned. Please contact your child’s school if you are not sure of your child’s grouping. Students who opted for virtual only in the Covington Virtual Academy, will continue with their online assignments five days a week. Just a reminder that Covington Virtual Academy students must remain fully virtual until December 18.

After school programs are provided by the Community Learning Center (CLC ) at Holmes,
which is funded by 21stafter school Century funds. The CLC provides a quality after school program that includes academic and enrichment activities for Holmes Middle School students Monday through Thursday from 2:45 to 5 p.m.

Students receive a snack from 2:45 to 3 p.m. From 3 to 3:30 p.m., students attend an academic session that includes: homework help, tutoring or online learning.

Students choosing to stay from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. can choose to take part in different activities, including gym activities, arts & crafts, board games or the Nintendo Wii.  Students must attend the academic portion of the program in order to stay for the enrichment activities.
