With winter weather upon us, we would like to remind you how Covington Independent Public Schools makes decisions about school closings, delays, or early dismissals, and communicates weather-related announcements.  We always try to make weather-related decisions in a timely fashion.
  
Once a decision is made to close or delay school, that information is disseminated through a variety of means.  For instance, students and families will be notified through our One Call system. In addition, the information will be posted on the homepage of the district website, as well as the district’s Facebook page and Twitter feed. Further, the information is broadcast on local television and radio stations as well as posted on online sites, such as the River City News and the Northern Kentucky Tribune.  Please look for announcements that say our school district, Covington Independent Public Schools.
