January is School Board Recognition Month, a time to celebrate and thank board members for the countless hours they spend working to provide the best possible education for our students. We most certainly appreciate members of the Covington Board of Education who not only serve as advocates for children but also for public schools.
“Though January is set aside for board recognition month, we know that our board members work hard all year,’’ said Superintendent Alvin Garrison.“They not only set the vision for the district, they also send their children and grandchildren to Covington schools and support students by attending their events. I cannot thank them enough for all that they do.’’
Each week, we will get to know Covington board members a little better as we highlight them through a series of questions.
