Summer services are being extended in Covington due to the delay in the start of school.

The Covington branch of the Kenton County Public Library will offer free lunches for children and teens under 18, Monday-Friday beginning on August 12. Various afternoon programs have also been added to their schedule beginning on August 11.

The Boys & Girls Club will be open for members 9a.m.-3p.m. Monday-Friday starting August 19, until schools start. Lunch and snacks will be served in the club.

The Summer Feeding Program is being extended at City Heights.

The first day of school for Covington Independent Public Schools is Tuesday, September 3.
