Members of the Covington Board of Education at their last meeting were treated to chocolate and cake in celebration of School Board Member Appreciation Month.  

January has been set aside to thank board members for the work that they do.  “Our board members are nothing Bundt the best,’’ read the sign on the bundt cakes. The board members also will be recognized at the Holmes boys’ basketball game on January 21.

Earlier this month, the board also voted on officers and set its calendar schedule for 2020. Tom Wherry will serve as board chair and Sarah Flerlage as vice chair.  Other board members pictured are Jerry Avery and Glenda Huff.  Board member April Brockhoff was not in attendance.
