Gov. Andy Beshear on Friday recommended that all schools in Kentucky extend their closure dates until at least April 20. Covington Independent Public Schools will follow his recommendation.

During this time, the district’s scheduled Spring Break from April 6-10, will be observed. During Spring Break students will not have NTI or online instruction. Staff will follow the same schedule and requirements for Spring Break as they would during a regular school year.

Please note, the district will continue to provide free meals during Spring Break at the same food distribution locations.

Students are now scheduled to return to school on April 20. However, the governor stressed we are in unprecedented times and the situation could change again.
