In an effort to keep our families and community informed, Covington Independent Public Schools is publishing its COVID-related cases on a dashboard that can be accessed on the district website, www.covington.kyschools.us by clicking COVID dashboard. The dashboard will show the number of cases by each school. This will show data from the previous day. The dashboard contains several categories including:

-School-related quarantines: This includes individuals who are quarantined due to being directly exposed to a positive case at school.

-Community-related quarantines: This includes individuals who have symptoms, individuals who live with someone who has symptoms, or individuals who have been directly exposed to a positive case somewhere other than school.

-Positivity rate: This is a state published number that tells the percentage of total tests completed that come back positive.

In addition, the dashboard displays the Kenton County incident rate, which is also state published and shows the average daily number of cases per 100,000 population for the previous seven days.  

The total number of positive cases and the total number of school quarantines will continue to accumulate since the day Covington started in-person instruction on September 28. The total school quarantines show the cumulative number of people who have been exposed at school.

Please note that the number of current community-related exposures will fluctuate as quarantines expire and new ones are added.
