Covington students no longer required to wear masks on school buses

school bus

Beginning, Monday, March 14, 2022, Covington Independent Public Schools students will no longer be required to wear masks on school buses. The Centers for Disease Control no longer mandates the wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs, in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 community level.

However, students who ride TANK must still wear masks on those buses.  The federal mandate on mask wearing in other areas of public transportation, such as buses, trains and planes is still in effect.
