Covington Rotary selects 2 Holmes students to Study Abroad
The organization has selected local students to participate for the past four years.
This year, Holmes High students Molly Morgan and Jacob Dye were chosen. They will depart for international destinations (to be announced later) in the fall. The Rotary pays the full $6,000 estimated cost for each exchange.
Previous recipients have gone to Spain, Germany, and Turkey to promote peace and goodwill in the world, a news release said.
The student spends 9 to 10 months in a non-English speaking country, living with host families, learning the language, exchanging cultural experiences, and attending a local school.
Currently, one student is living in the Czech Republic.
