Covington Independent Schools is sponsoring a Million Word Challenge March 17 – April 5, 2016 during March Madness for Preschool - 2nd grade students.

Students and families are encouraged to log on to Footsteps2Brilliance to “Shoot for a Million Words.”

The school that reads the most words by April 5 will win a KONA ICE party and an extra recess.

Each student participant will be entered in a drawing to win a tablet.

The winner will be announced on April 6.
