B.E.S.T. PartnerGateway Community & Technical College

Gateway Community and Technical College (GCTC) continues to be our B.E.S.T. Partner this year. Several schools in Northern Kentucky have a B.E.S.T. Partner through the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Education Alliance. B.E.S.T. is short for Business Education Success Team. B.E.S.T. Partners  recognize that schools cannot accomplish their academic goals alone. Their involvement is critical to the growth and preparation of students and their future success. B.E.S.T. Partners work together with schools to develop activities to meet the needs of the school and to impact workforce development in our region.

We are grateful and excited about the generous support we receive from Gateway College. Gateway provides the Gateway Best Attendance Store where students with perfect attendance for the month are allowed to shop for school supplies and popular incentive items.

Volunteers from Gateway are frequently at school activities and also take our students on tours of their campuses. GCTC sponsors at least one family night per year and Gateway President Dr. Edward Hughes visits school every year before winter break to read a book to all students.

Mentors, monetary support, and bicycles for school give-a-ways, are some of the many ways our B.E.S.T. Partner supports our school. Sixth District Elementary and Gateway College were inducted into the Chamber of Commerce B.E.S.T. Partnership Hall of Fame. We have been partners for nine years and have won several awards together. We are thankful and proud to have this wonderful partnership.
