Ninth District's Girls on the Run are having a coloring book/crayon drive for Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Each year, thousands of Girls on the Run teams plan and implement a community impact project. This project is a key element to the curriculum for a variety of reasons. First, it helps the girls set, work towards, and achieve a goal. This results in a strong sense of accomplishment when the girls see the project from beginning to end. Second, it gives the girls an opportunity to use the skills that they have developed during the season. Finally, since the project is driven by the girls themselves, they feel a sense of ownership and are empowered to do similar work in the future.
Please support Ninth District's Girls on the Run, as this year's project is collecting coloring books and crayons for Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Now through May 1, they are accepting donations of new coloring books and boxes of crayons (24 count only please). Donations can be dropped off to the office at Ninth District. Please attached a note to your donation: For Girls on the Run - Ms. Detzel's Room. Thank you in advance for your support!
