Bully Free Parade

John G. Carlisle Annual Bully-Free Parade will take place on Friday, October 18 at 9 a.m. Parents and guardians are invited to walk in the parade with their 3rd, 4th or 5th grade student! Please make sure your student has returned their signed permission form. All Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students will remain on campus to watch the parade and cheer. The parade route is as follows:

Right onto W. Robbins Street
Right onto Holman Avenue
Right onto Pike Street
Under the Train underpass and connect to 7th Street
Cross Madison Avenue
Continue onto 7th Street
Right onto Scott Street
Right onto 8th Street
Cross Madison Avenue
Left onto Russell Street
Right onto W. Robbins Street
Right into the back parking lot at JGC

We have many things planned this week in preparation for the parade. Classes will work on signs for the kids to carry during the parade.

Classrooms will compete in an anti-bullying themed door decorating contest!!! Judging will take place on Thursday (10/17) after school and the winning classrooms will win a movie and popcorn party!

All students and staff will take the Anti-Bullying pledge during morning announcements and sign the NO BULLYING BANNER during lunch.

Each class will also receive a class set of stones for students to paint. The stones will be displayed as a collection in the classroom to symbolize the importance of the “classroom community”, made of unique individuals working together.

John G. Carlisle is committed to creating a safe environment for learning for students and staff. Please check your child's purple folder this week for information about how we address bullying through our Second Step Classroom Guidance lessons. If you have questions, contact School Counselor, Nicole Nazzarine. We hope you will join us on Friday at 9 a.m. for the parade!
